Cheyenne man pleads 'not guilty' in Federal Court to child pornography charges

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - A Cheyenne man plead not guilty yesterday in Federal Court to child pornography charges he was arrested for on Dec. 18, 2015. Joshua Arlint, of Cheyenne, was arrested after members of the Wyoming Internet Crimes Against Children task force and a Special Agent with the FBI executed a federal search warrant at 3909 Medicine Man Trail in Cheyenne. On the dates of Oct. 11, 2015, through Nov. 2, 2015, a Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Special Agent was conducting an online investigation on the BitTorrent network for offenders utilizing this network to share child pornography, in which the Special Agent was directed to investigate a specific IP address device owned by Arlint, court documents state. During the execution of the search warrant, a ASUS laptop was discovered in the basement of the residence with several downloaded files that contained images and hour-long videos of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Arlint told agents at the time of the search warrant that the ASUS laptop belonged to him and that he used the laptop to download adult pornography, according to court documents. Maximum penalty for Possession of Child Pornography is 20 years imprisonment, $250,000 fune, up to life supervised release, with $100 special assignment. #shortgo #breaking #news
