1976 Trans Am raffle raises over $69K for three Cheyenne organizations

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County, Safehouse Services, and Cheyenne Family YMCA received checks totaling over $69,000 yesterday from a local charity fundraiser. Cheyenne Wheels for Charity, a summer through fall fundraiser, recently raffled off a restored vintage 1976 Pontiac Trans Am courtesy of Nick Dodgson of Midas in Cheyenne, and donated those proceeds to these three local non-profit organizations. You may remember seeing that car throughout various locations in Cheyenne, and some of these familiar faces stranding near by selling tickets: *Representative with all three local charities picking up their checks yesterday, Feb. 3. h/t photo: Cheyenne Wheels for Charity/Pitchengine Communities* "We are working on final negotiations and planning for the 2016 car right now and hope to be able to announce that very soon," Dodgson said. Doug Thompson of Valley Springs, Arkansas, was named the lucky winner of last year's 2015 raffle: *h/t photo: Cheyenne Wheels 4 Charity/Pitchengine Communities* *Feature photo: Cheyenne Wheels 4 Charity/Pitchengine Communities* #shortgo #news #whatshappening
