Suspect wanted for attempted murder out of Colorado

(Wheat Ridge, Colo.) - The suspect involved in tonight's stand off with Laramie County Sheriff's and SWAT teams is also suspected of an attempted murder in Colorado, according to local reports. *Release from Wheat Ridge Police Department:* An arrest warrant was issued today for Andrew Dean Howton (9-27-72) for Criminal Attempt 1st Degree Murder, a class two felony, in connection with the stabbing that occurred on February 4, 2016 at the Howard Johnson Hotel in Wheat Ridge. Bond has been set at $500,000. The victim, a 30 year old woman, is still in critical condition. Howton is seen on hotel security footage checking into the hotel on February 3, 2016 and exiting the Howard Johnson at 6:59 AM on February 4, 2016. He is described as a Caucasian male, 43 years old, with dark hair. The Wheat Ridge Police Department is requesting information regarding the whereabouts of Andrew Dean Howton.
