Cheyenne Fire and Rescue invite public to "wetdown" ceremony, introduce new Engine

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - Cheyenne Fire and Rescue is inviting the public to come celebrate the arrival of their new Engine #5, Wednesday, Feb. 17. The event is taking place at their headquarters, 716 W. 19th St., beginning at 3 p.m. and is expected to conclude with a “wetdown” ceremony. The new fire engine and equipment was purchased for $594,132 through a State Loan and Investment Board grant. The new engine replaces the current Engine #5, which was built in 1999 and will move to a reserve status and be renamed Engine 15.
