Five-week closure of Snyder Ave. and 19th Street due to Phase II of construction project

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - The Phase II of the Street Reconstruction Project has closed of portions of the area in Cheyenne. The intersection of W. 19th Street and Snyder Avenue is now closed, and detours have been posted. The intersection is expected to be closed for about five weeks as part of the 19th Street Reconstruction Project. The construction has also closed 19th Street from Snyder Ave. to Missile Drive. Phase II is between Pioneer Avenue and Crow Creek which will include total reconstruction of the roadway including new water and sanitary sewer lines; replacing curb, gutter, and sidewalk as needed; along with extensive stormwater and drainage work. The $5.4 million project is funded from the One Percent Sales and Use Tax and from the Board of Public Utilities.
