(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - Local residents and City officials joined as Cheyenne Fire & Rescue welcomed in their new Engine #5 into service today, Feb. 17. Cheyenne residents gathered to get a look at the brand new Engine, and have a chance to hose-down the truck in the "Wet-down Ceremony."
This new Engine replaces the old truck on Dell Range that was built in
Fire Chief Jim Martin, Mayor Rick Kaysen, and Treasurer Mark Gordon, were
among the officials who spoke at the ceremony. The department will now
train its members on the new addition, and firefighters say the Engine
should be in use by March.
