Baby Anora (pictured right with mom) was the first to arrive at 5:48 p.m.,
weighing 7 pounds, 12 ounces and measuring 20 ¾ inches. She is the daughter
and only child of Cheyenne residents Kimberly and Ryan, according to CRMC.
CRMC wrote today: Anora was due on March 5, so her early arrival caught
Kimberly a bit off guard: “I was a little worried at first, because I
didn’t want Anora to miss out on her birthday each year.” But as the hours
ticked by, Kimberly and her husband, Ryan, started to get more and more
excited because of how unusual and special it is to have a Leap Year baby.
They plan to celebrate Anora’s birthday on Feb. 28 in between Leap Years,
and will do something extra special on their daughter’s actual birthday.
Anora’s grandmother, Diane, made it to Cheyenne just in time for her
granddaughter’s arrival. “She had planned to get to Cheyenne a few days
before the birth and was en route from Chicago while I was in labor,”
Kimberly said. Visiting with her daughter and granddaughter at CRMC on
Tuesday, Diane described little Anora as being “perfect.”
Baby Haley (pictured left) was the second Leap Year baby born at CRMC,
arriving at 6:34 p.m., weighing 7 pounds, 9 ounces and measuring 19 inches.
CRMC wrote: Haley was born a few days after her due date of Feb. 22. Haley
is the daughter of Cheyenne residents Jasmine and Austin. Her parents said
they are happy to have a healthy little girl and were excited to learn that
their daughter was one of only two Leap Year babies born at CRMC. They also
plan to celebrate Haley’s birthday on Feb. 28 in between Leap Years, CRMC
