55-year-old man charged with stalking and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - A man arrested by local law enforcement faces two felony charges; one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of stalking and violation of protection order, according to court documents. On March 2, Johnnie Worsham, 55, allegedly followed his ex-girlfriend around the streets of Cheyenne for multiple blocks. The woman noticed his vehicle had been following and pulled into a parking lot where Worsham had rear-ended her vehicle and drove away, then caught up with her again and rear-ended her vehicle a second time and sped off. The woman called and notified police. Law enforcement eventually found Worsham, and the damage done to both vehicles was consistent. The woman was not injured, court documents state. The affidavit states that Worsham had called the woman five times the day before, and six times the day of, texting her multiple times. One text read: "I have a footlong steak and cheese I will split with you if you want. I am not trying to hurt you, just feed you," according to the affidavit. Worsham has a cash bond for $10,000 and could face up to 20 years and 6 months. #shortgo #news
