COMEA House and Resource Center to buy new beds with $5,000 donation

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - Cheyenne's COMEA House and Resource Center received a $5,000 check for the purchase of additional beds to go in the local resource facility, Mar. 15. The COMEA House and Resource Center, 1504 Stinson Ave., will now be purchasing an additional four beds (two bunk beds) for the facility's pay-to-stay rooms, as the beds cost roughly around $1,050 a piece. As part of COMEA's Journey Program, guests are able to stay in the house for up to 45 days for free, which includes intensive case management and employment counseling. "With the new program, we rarely see anyone return to the house after staying the full 45 days," Robin Zimmer, Executive Director at COMEA, said. "This new dorm room has been a wonderful addition to the facility." Black Hills Corporation was able to present the check today at the COMEA facility through their shareholders in the corporation. Organizations are able to apply for a similar donation with their Supplier Diversity Program, found on their website. *H/t photos: Pitchengine Communities* #shortgo #news
