Dr. Mohamed Salih speaks at Islam Awareness event at LCCC

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - Laramie County Community College hosted guest speaker, Dr. Mohamed Salih from the Cheyenne Interfaith Council for Islam Awareness, Mar. 21. "I couldn't believe one person could hate another person without knowing that person," a Muslim woman speaking on hatred she's endured in the U.S. "But I realized, he didn't hate me, he hated who he thought I was." *​Audience members laugh at Dr. Salih's surprise after one woman's correct response of the Five Gods. h/t Pitchengine Communities* Dr. Salih began speaking with the audience about their knowledge of the religion and to his surprise, they were somewhat knowledgeable. He spoke of the religion's many Gods and Prophets, as well as the Quran and its readings. "Allah is the core of your life," Dr. Salih stated of the religion. "Everything you do in your life, you are dealing with God." ​ Dr. Salih also stated that the Quran is not about Allah, it mentions his name 2,500 times, but it is not about him. "So why would he be mentioned so many times?
