Local law enforcement agencies host Drug Take Back Day in Laramie County

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - Local law enforcement agencies will be at three locations Saturday, April 30, to take back any unwanted/unused prescription or over the counter drugs. The purpose of these Drug Take Back days is to allow citizens to safely dispose of these drugs in an environmentally safe manner and keep those drugs out of the hands of unauthorized persons or juveniles. These three will be locations of the take back from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.: - Town and Country Pharmacy, 514 S. Greeley Hwy. - Laramie County Fire Dist. #2, 5800 N. College - Pine Bluffs Town Hall, 200 Main St. Since the program inception, the Laramie County Sheriff's Department has taken in over 1,200 pounds of unused and unwanted prescription drugs. NO illegal drugs, sharps, thermometers, oxygen containers, radioactive materials, pressurized containers, or chemotherapy drugs will be accepted at this event. For more information, contact Lt.
