(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - Laramie County Community College receives award from the Center for Digital Education's (CDE
2015-16 Digital Community Colleges Survey.
The survey award honors community colleges that are using technology to
improve how they deliver curriculum and services, according to the CDE.
With school enrollment of up to 5,000 students, LCCC received first place
in its category.
The award noted that “Laramie County Community College recently revised its
portal to include improved navigation and responsive technology. A content
management system allows individual departments to control their content
while also maintaining a consistent look and feel with the college's brand.
The college is participating in Wyoming’s unified network that will connect
all K-12 schools and community colleges with an expanded broadband network.”
According to the survey, colleges indicated that mobile devices/app support
and website redesign are top priorities for the coming year, followed by
cybersecurity tools and testing, network infrastructure modernization,
server consolidation and virtualization, and disaster recovery/business
