Friends and teammates, South and East HS student-athletes commit to LCCC

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - Three local athletes signed on to play basketball with Laramie County Community College this afternoon, April 14. Isaiah Dicks from South High School, Marquez Jefferson from South High School, and Elijah Oliver from East High School all committed to play ball with the local community college following their anticipated high school graduations. "It's been a blessing to continue playing with my brother (Dicks) and good friend (Oliver) at another level," said Jefferson. He was teammates with Dicks at South High School where they became 'best friends', in which the two of them both played against their good friend Oliver. "Somewhat of a historic day for us here, we have not signed this many Cheyenne student athletes in one year in nine seasons," Head Coach, Jason Ficca, said. "And we're not necessarily done recruiting student athletes in this city, hopefully we can add another name or two to this list here." Coaches from both East and South high schools were in attendance to see their former players commit to continuing their basketball endeavors, as well as many friends and family of the three men. *h/t photos: Pitchengine Communities* #shortgo #news #whatshappening
