Phase II of W. 19th St. Construction Project closes Crow Creek to Snyder Ave.

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - Construction on W. 19th has extended to Pioneer Ave. as part of the City's Phase II of the Reconstruction Project, Apr. 18. West 19th Street is closed from Crow Creek to Snyder Ave. and from Snyder Ave. to Pioneer as of Monday morning. The intersection of Snyder Ave. and W. 19th St. intersection was reopened late Friday following its two-day closure for asphalt paving. Phase II is between Pioneer Avenue and Crow Creek which will include total reconstruction of the roadway including new water and sanitary sewer lines; replacing curb, gutter, and sidewalk as needed; along with extensive stormwater and drainage work. The cost of the project is $5.4 million. Funding is from the One Percent Sales and Use Tax (commonly known as the 5th Penny Tax) and from the Board of Public Utilities.
