Employers offer summer job opportunities to local students during LCCC's Job Fair

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - Students on campus at Laramie County Community College had an opportunity today to visit with potential employers about summer job opportunities, April 19. Rather than take the summer to study abroad, some local learners have decided to stay in town and potentially add to their resume while doing so. Sixteen employers were in the Student Lounge until 1:30 p.m. this afternoon to meet and greet students and share their knowledge about their business. "This has been a great way for us to meet students and extend possible employment opportunities to locals," Desirae Rider, Manager at the Cheyenne Brown and Gold Outlet, said. "I have been looking to hire another person for a while now, and today I was able to meet with several interested candidates." The 16 businesses on campus today were: - Army and Air Force Exchange Service - Best Buy Mobile - Brown and Gold Outlet - Cheyenne Aquatic Center - FedEx Ground - Labor Ready - LCCC Admissions Office - Monument Homebuilders, Inc - Papa John's Pizza - Synergy Homecare - Truss Craft Structural Components - U.S. Senator John Barrasso - Union Pacific - Verizon - Walmart - Wells Fargo Bank If you missed the opportunity to talk with one of the employers, don't fret...LCCC's Career Center can help you out, or head here to read more about the employers. #shortgo #news #whatshappening
