Cheyenne Police up their DUI task force during Prom weekend; after-prom parties to be investigated

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - East, Central, and South High School's prom is this weekend, which means the Cheyenne Police Department will be conducting extra enforcement of underage drinking laws, Apr 29-30. The CPD mobile command post will be utilized this weekend for DUI enforcement. Officers and school district employees will also be monitoring for any use of alcohol or other illegal substances, and police officers will be at the dances and investigating after-prom parties. "A person who allows an underage drinking party to occur on their property faces arrest or a must appear ticket and a person furnishing alcohol to a minor faces a ticket with a bond of $360," CPD state. Curfew for juveniles is from 1-6 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. #shortgo #news
