(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - The Cheyenne Police Department is hosting a free ten-week Citizens Police Academy
begins today, May 4.
The academy is designed to inform and educate up to 30 valid participants
in all aspects of law enforcement and include predominately "hands-on"
training sessions, including field classes for firearms and crime scene
"Students will learn actively about defensive tactics, traffic enforcement,
building searches and firearms familiarization. Several practical exercises
will be conducted so students can actually perform many elements of
everyday law enforcement," according to the CPD.
