Work on 'The Hole' begins this weekend for the upcoming summer concert series

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - Crews will be moving rock and building a temporary stage at the future Children’s Museum of Cheyenne (CMC) site for a family-friendly concert series, May 14. The space is currently being referred to as 'The Hole' where crews plan to make it an active venue for summer concert series titles: A Hole Lot of Music. The idea of this concert series is to fund-raise, create awareness for the site, and create awareness for the museum. “The third floor of our building will be a 300-400 seat music venue and we will focus on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math) in our exhibits," Amy Surdam, CMC Board President said. "One of our exhibits is a garage band where kids can learn to play and record music. Music is a vital component of our museum and so implementing a concert series this summer is a great way to get started.” Concert dates are set for June 16, July 7, and August 11. Event details and bands will be announced at a later date. Bands or food trucks interested in participating should contact Codee Augustin, Events Chair, at #shortgo #news #whatshappening
