Cheyenne residents can drop off household hazardous waste items for free starting June 4

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - Cheyenne residents will now be able to drop off household hazardous waste items for free on Saturdays at the City’s Household Hazardous Waste Facility, 220 North College Drive, starting June 4. *Household Hazardous Waste items include:* pesticides, motor oil, antifreeze, solvents, oil-based paint, common household cleaners, and e-waste. The City will not accept latex paint. To dispose of latex paint, open the can, let it dry hard, replace the lid, and then dispose in your regular trash. If there is more than half a gallon of latex paint, dump cat litter into the can. Latex paint can be tossed into the regular trash because it is not considered hazardous waste. Motorists need to check in with City staff, and then proceed in their vehicle to the drop-off location. For safety reasons, motorists will need to remain in their vehicle while City workers unload the hazardous material. #shortgo #news
