(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - Kendall Stewart, 25, of Cheyenne, is now facing felony charges in Laramie County District Court after allegedly stabbing another man
Stewart, arrested late last month
faces one count of aggravated assault and battery with a deadly weapon, and
one count of possession of a deadly weapon.
According to court documents, Jarred Haftopolus, 21, was transported to
Cheyenne Regional Medical Center where he required surgery for multiple
injuries to his upper body (left arm, face, and back) after allegedly being
stabbed with a knife by Stewart.
Stewart reportedly started the altercation under the Missle Dr. and W.
Lincolnway bridge out of anger, stating Haftopolus had caused a disturbance
at a local liquor establishment, according to court documents.
Haftopolus stated Stewart tried to drown him in Crow Creek while stabbing
him multiple times, while Stewart stated to law enforcement that Haftopolus
brought out the knife and swung it "wildly" at him, court documents state.
Stewart's case has been bound over to Laramie County District Court with a
$1,000 signature bond.
