(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - The cause of the train derailment
west of Cheyenne remains under investigation, June 9.
Sixteen rail cars of the 166-car train came off of the train track on
Monday, luckily with no injuries. The Union Pacific train was hauling a
variety of products including refrigerated goods and lumber.
"Crews are actively working to clean up the debris at the derailment site
and hope to finish next week," Calli Hite, Director of Corporate Relations
at Union Pacific, stated.
