Voter Guide for Laramie County: 2016 City candidates to debate at public forum

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - In an effort to better-prepare residents for the upcoming election, the Cheyenne League of Women Voters (LWV) will be hosting forums for City Races, July 12-14. Candidates for Cheyenne mayor and city council will be on the dais to explain their positions on a range of issues. City races are non-partisan, and the primary will select two candidates for each open seat for the General Election. *The schedule:* - *Tuesday, July 12: *Candidates for mayor in two groups, 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. - *Wednesday, July 13: *Candidates for Council Ward 1 in two groups, 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. - *Thursday, July 14: *Candidates for Council Ward 2 at 6 p.m. and Ward 3 at 7:30 p.m. *Upcoming dates:* *Aug. 16: *2016 Primary Election *July 7: *Absentee voting opens in the atrium of the Laramie County Government Complex *Nov. 8: *General Election People also may request the Laramie County Clerk’s office for absentee ballots by mail. You may register to vote at the County Clerk’s office, by mail or at the polls. If you register by mail, you must present a photo ID when you vote.
