LCSD#1 kicks off 26th Annual Operation Back-to-School supply drive for low-income students

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - Laramie County School Dist. 1 is preparing for the start of the new school year through its 26th Annual Operation Back-to-School, June 20. Operation Back-to-School is a local school supply drive through community businesses and organizations to ensure low-income students start the school year prepared and ready to learn. “Needs Inc. is proud to be associated with Operation Back to School to ensure that our students have the proper tools to begin a successful school year,” Barbara Fecht, Needs, Inc. Executive Director, said. Local residents can drop off supplies at donation bins located at: - Needs, Inc., 900 Central Ave. - Laramie County Community College, 1400 E College Dr. - Laramie County Library, 2200 Pioneer Ave. - Laramie County School Dist. 1 Administration Building, 2810 House Ave. - F.E. Warren AFB K-6th Grade District-wide Elementary School Supply List: - (1) box of no.2 pencils-24 count - (2) boxes of tissue - (4) glue sticks - (1) box of fat washable markers-10 count - (1) box of crayons-24 count - (2) large erasers - (1) backpack Donated supplies for K-12 and college students will be distributed Saturday, Aug. 6 at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter Community Room, 800 SW Drive.
