PSA: New Siren Testing scheduled for July 1

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - The Cheyenne/Laramie County Emergency Management Agency will be testing the Outdoor Warning Siren system, July 1. *SIREN TESTING FRIDAY, JULY 1:* 10AM - Pine Bluffs 12PM - Cheyenne and surrounding towns The sirens will sound a steady signal for a period of one to three minutes. July's test includes 15 new sirens purchased with the sixth penny tax, used as an all-hazards emergency warning system intended to warn residents of any life threatening situation in the area. *New Siren Locations* - City of Cheyenne Office Building – 2101 O’Neil Ave – Replacement Siren - Dildine Elementary - Reese Rd & Beckle Rd - E Four Mile Rd & Westedt Rd - Horsecreek Rd & Roundtop Rd - Murray Rd & Avenue C - South Fork Park - Cedar Ave & Citrus Street - Swan Ranch - El Camino & Gardenia - Anderson Elementary School - Wills Rd & Rock Springs Street - Welchester Dr & Highland Rd - College Dr & Parsley Blvd - Curt Gowdy State Park Reminder: During an actual emergency, residents should take cover immediately and tune into local news site for additional emergency information.
