Relay For Life of Laramie County raises over $75,000

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Laramie County welcomed 39 team and 340 participants to the annual event on June 11 at Okie Blanchard Stadium. The event raised more than $77,000. Participants decorated their campsites and dressed in costumes to reflect the “Paint Cheyenne Purple” theme. The event began with 121 cancer survivors and their caregivers walking in the celebratory first lap. Relay For Life attendees also enjoyed live bands, face painting, lawn games, water balloons, and food. The event concluded with the luminaria ceremony at dark to honor cancer survivors and remember those lost to cancer. The American Cancer Society would like to thank the many volunteers, participants, and donors who made this event possible.
