The Shoshoni Senior Center

Generous donations benefit seniors

The Shoshoni Senior Center recently received donations for its congregate and home delivered meal programs from John Scott Enterprises in Casper and Aethon Energy in Riverton. Dawn Marie Thacker, Shoshoni Senior Center Director said “Our programs are designed to help area aging adults live independently and age in place.”

John Scott Enterprises donated 2 beef and in addition to donating to the Shoshoni Senior Center, they also donated to the centers in Riverton and Lander. I was incredibly surprised when I received the message we had two beef waiting pick up at the processors” commented Thacker. “This truly helps us, help others.”

Not only did Aethon Energy contribute to the senior meal programs by donating a half hog, they also purchased their market animal from the Fremont County Fair Junior Livestock Auction. Thacker stated “We appreciate the generosity shown by Aethon and are thrilled to be involved with such a wonderful community team effort. Not only does their donation benefit Shoshoni area seniors, but also the youth of Fremont County.”
