Sidekick Creative opens in Glens Falls, NY with their eyes set on regional businesses and retail.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Glens Falls, NY - June 6th, 2017 - Will Fowler, Kelli Germain and Cara Greenslade are excited to announce the opening of their new design and illustration studio: Sidekick Creative!
Sidekick Creative is a team of three millennials with local roots and a passion for everything upstate. “We draw much of our inspiration from the beautiful people and places that surround us. From the quaint streets of Hometown, USA, to the breathtaking expanse of the Adirondacks and beyond, we aim to bolster Upstate New York by highlighting all it has to offer,” said Will Fowler.
Sidekick Creative’s client services include illustration, graphic design, branding and logo design, photography, editorial layout, video and motion graphics.
While Sidekick is excited to work closely with other businesses in the region they are also eager to reveal a line of stationery and prints this June. Their official kickoff of their retail products will take place at this year’s LARAC June Arts Festival.
With over 10 years combined agency experience, this is the first time the three have embarked on their own business venture. After working together in an agency setting for over two years, the owners felt they had a great opportunity to open a business in Glens Falls.
Why Glens Falls? “We grew up here,” said Cara Greenslade. “Over the past 10 years, we’ve seen so many great businesses open their doors here and really revitalize the city. Now we’re excited to be one of those businesses and we hope we can have an impact in this city like so many others already have.”
Since opening in early April, the business has received a tremendous amount of encouragement and support from the local community. People have literally opened their doors to Sidekick Creative. “We are very excited to be working out of Behan Communications office—an industry leader in public relations and strategic communications. Working alongside their experienced team of professionals will be invaluable to our development at this early stage in our business. We are so grateful for their support and willingness to cultivate local enterprise,” said Will Fowler.
What does the future hold for Sidekick Creative? “Over the next five years, we plan to foster our love for design by continuing to produce branding and collateral work for clients, while also growing the retail side of our business,” said Kelli Germain. “By creating our own unique artwork and attending larger craft and stationery shows, we hope to get exposure and connect with national retailers."
