Silo Modern Farmhouse Executive Chef Laura Favela will offer a custom 5-course meal with wine pairing options on New Year’s Eve

LENEXA, Kan. (Dec. 14, 2018) – One of the newest restaurants on the Kansas City dining scene, Silo Modern Farmhouse will feature a custom five-course prix fixe menu from Executive Chef Laura Favela on New Year’s Eve. The menu will feature thoughtfully crafted dishes from her culinary repertoire that are not available on Silo Modern Farmhouse’s regular dinner menu. Special wine pairings will also be available.

 

Silo’s New Year’s Eve hours will be 5 – 11 p.m. and feature the following menu:

 

New Year’s Eve Prix Fixe Menu

$65 per person

Soup

Kabocha Squash – pepitas, local herbs, tiny pea shoots, bread bowl

 

Salad

Modern Frisée – artisanal spring mix, kumquat salad, crispy pancetta, soft-poached free-range egg, saffron-champagne vinaigrette

Grill Organic Beet “Caprese” Salad burrata, baby kale, house-made basil pesto

 

Appetizers

Beef Tartare – prime angus beef, purple potato chips, shaved smoke-cured egg, lemon-basil sauce

Goose Popovers – fresh chives, Amish chicken mousse

Oysters Rockefeller – classic hollandaise, local herbs, truffle bread crumbs

 

Entrées

Beef Wellington – mushroom duxelles, creamy white truffle, local herbs, mashed potato, jumbo asparagus, foie gras demi-glace

Speck-Wrapped Monk Fish – smoked prosciutto, green risotto, wild button mushrooms, white wine cream sauce

Pistachio-Crusted Tofu Beluga lentil ragout, roasted carrot coulis, micro Tokyo bekana

Pan-Seared Pork Tenderloin Medallions anna sweet potato gratin, lingonberry balsamic reduction

Pineapple-Cider Duck Breast – pearl couscous, spicy baby bok choy, soy-maple reduction

Vanilla Sponge Cake – prosecco sorbet, seasonal berries, mint coulis, lemon curd

Silo will be open on New Year’s Day, Tuesday, Jan. 1, for lunch and dinner service from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
