Actress EMILY GOSS Stars in Award-Winning Psychologically Haunting Horror Film ‘THE HOUSE ON PINE STREET’

LOS ANGELES (September 21, 2016) – Actress EMILY GOSS emerges in a haunting situation, starring in the award-winning psychological horror film THE HOUSE ON PINE STREET, set for VOD release from Terror Films on September 30th.

Goss earned both critical-acclaim and multiple ‘Best Actress’ awards on the festival circuit for her role in the film, which comes from twin-brother director team Aaron and Austin Keeling, who co-wrote the script with Natalie Jones.

THE HOUSE ON PINE STREET follows seven month pregnant Jennifer Branagan (Goss), who reluctantly returns to her hometown in Kansas after an unexpected mental breakdown. Coping with her fears of motherhood, a strained relationship with her husband (Taylor Bottles), and her overbearing mother (Cathy Barnett), Jennifer struggles to regain control of her life. But when strange things start happening in their new rental home, Jennifer begins to fear that it may be haunted. Alone in her convictions, Jennifer is forced to question her sanity as she attempts to find out what, if anything, is plaguing the house.

Goss was excited at the opportunity to bring this beautifully vulnerable character to life, adding "Jennifer is strong and stands up for what she believes and wants, even as that separates her from the people she loves most. You don't encounter characters like her often in any genre, let alone in horror. When I read the script, nothing about The House On Pine Street was like other horror movies I’d seen. I knew it was something special, something intelligent, exciting, and different.”

Up next, Goss is co-producing and starring in the female-driven LGBTQ series Stale Mate, where two best friends cross the lines of sexual fluidity and commitment. The project was written by Lisa Cordileone, who also stars and co-produces with Goss, Mouzam Makkar and Frankie Ingrassia.

Goss has been building a solid reputation as a rising star on the indie scene and beyond. She is recognized for her work in the celebrated indie feature American Bred, alongside Oscar-nominated Michael Lerner and OWN’s Eva Tamargo. Her credits also include appearances on CBS’s crime-drama Criminal Minds and ABC’s hit series Castle. Goss busted a beat alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar in the viral video Princess Rap Battle: Cinderella vs. Belle, featured in E!Online, People.com, USmagazine.com, MTV.com, and Buzzfeed; and appeared in FunnyOrDie’s smash-hit video Chicago Sanitation featured on EntertainmentWeekly.com.

Originally from San Mateo, California, Goss earned her B.A. in Theatre from the University of Southern California’s School of Dramatic Arts and her M.A. in Classical Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).

Emily Goss is represented by Sherry Kayne and Alex Czuleger at The Green Room.
