Army Veteran Turned Actress YVONNE VALADEZ Guest Stars on Special Episode of NBC’s ‘THE NIGHT SHIFT’

Premieres August 10, 2017

LOS ANGELES (August 7, 2017) – Army Veteran turned successful Actress Yvonne Valadez will Guest Star on an all-new episode of NBC’s hit medical drama, THE NIGHT SHIFT, airing on Thursday, August 10th. The episode titled, “Keep the Faith,” was written, directed and performed by actors who are themselves military veterans, including Valadez.

The storyline delivers a busy night at San Antonio Memorial. When protestors descend on a funeral for a dear member of the night shift family, multiple veterans are injured and brought in for treatment. During the night, Drew (Brendan Fehr) treats Ananya (Valadez), a fearless female photographer.

Valadez was thrilled at the opportunity to join the cast for this unique episode, adding “It was a tremendous honor to work alongside such a talented group of actors – including those who have served in our military, including director Timothy Busfield and writer Brian Anthony.”

Up next, Valadez will be launching her own project, the web-based reality series Almost Naked Swimwear. This is a light hearted storyline based on a young, highly driven millennial who fights through the struggles of launching a bathing suit company in Los Angeles set on the backdrop of her crazy life and friendships.

This Latina beauty has been building a solid resume on the small screen. Most recently, Valadez has appeared in FX Networks series Legit, ABC’s long-running drama Grey’s Anatomy, and the digital drama series Youthful Daze. Valadez has also been involved in numerous national commercials including McDonalds, USAA, Toyota, Dunkin Donuts, Universal Studies and many more.

A Southern California native, Valadez discovered her passion for acting at an early age. After high school, she made the decision to enlist in the United States Army as an Air Defense Operator. She proudly shares, “It was one of the best decisions of my life.” After serving for four years, including two spent in Germany, she finished her tour and returned to California. It wouldn’t take long before Valadez was reminded of her first love – acting. She began training at various studios in Los Angeles, including honing her comedy chops at the renowned Second City Training Center.

Yvonne Valadez is represented by Aqua Talent Agency and Eileen O’Farrell Personal Management.
