Actor WILLIAM MARK MCCULLOUGH Haunts Gabrielle Union on Spectrum’s Original Crime-Drama “L.A.’s FINEST”

Also Emerges in Upcoming DC Universe Series “SWAMP THING”

LOS ANGELES (May 14, 2019) – Actor William Mark McCullough haunts Gabrielle Union recurring as ‘Kobi’ throughout the first season of Spectrum’s original crime-drama series, L.A.’S FINEST, which launched on May 13th. Then, McCullough will emerge in an episode of the James Wan-produced streaming series, SWAMP THING, premiering on DC Universe May 31st.

A spinoff of the Bad Boys franchise, L.A.'s Finest follows former DEA Agent Sydney Burnett (Union), who leaves her complicated Miami past behind to become an LAPD Detective. Partnered with working mom Nancy McKenna (Jessica Alba), these two women don’t agree on much, but they find common ground when it comes to taking on dangerous criminals. In the third episode “Con Air,” Syd finds herself unable to forget Kobi (McCullough), a vicious drug cartel thug from her past.

McCullough was excited by the opportunity to help launch this new original series, adding, “Having the opportunity to create a character as dark and menacing as Kobi was an exciting challenge. And getting to play that character opposite an actor as talented as Gabrielle Union was an absolute joy. I’m excited for the audience to see how Kobi and Syd’s history brings them crashing back into each other’s world.”

Coming in June, McCullough will Guest Star in the fifth episode of DC Universe’s highly-anticipated comic book adaptation, SWAMP THING. The superhero drama follows Abby Arcane (Crystal Reed) as she investigates a seemingly deadly Louisiana swamp-born virus, but soon discovers the swamp holds mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous. McCullough portrays ‘Remy Dubois’ alongside a cast that also includes Andy Bean, Jennifer Beals, Virginia Madsen, Will Patton and Ian Ziering.

McCullough has several other projects in the works, including roles in the HBO series, The Outsider, and OWN’s series, Greenleaf; and a supporting role in the horror-thriller, Shookum Hills working alongside Will Patton.

A Savannah, Georgia native, McCullough has become known for portraying intense, dangerous and often violent characters alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest superstars. On the big screen, he appeared in a strong supporting role opposite Tom Cruise in the drug smuggling thriller, American Made, and in a supporting lead role alongside Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage in the crime drama, Arsenal. McCullough joined Channing Tatum in Academy Award winner Steven Soderbergh’s redneck comedy, Logan Luck, and surfaced opposite Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali in the Civil War epic, Free State of Jones. On the small screen, McCullough has surfaced in several notable recurring roles, including Fox’s The Gifted, PBS’s Mercy Street and WGN’s Underground among others.
