British Actress JULIA FARINO Proves Commanding as President in Supernatural Vampire Series ‘AGE OF THE LIVING DEAD’
Season One Now Streaming on Amazon Prime
LOS ANGELES (September 10, 2019) – British actress Julia Farino is in control and command as the President of the United States in the supernatural vampire series, AGE OF THE LIVING DEAD. The 6-episode Season One is now available for binge watching on Amazon Prime in the U.S. and U.K.
The dystopian series opens with an America quarantined by the rest of the world behind huge border walls, as humans and vampires co-exist on opposite coasts thanks to a peace treaty, while each covertly plots to destroy the other. President Margaret Robertson (Farino) leads the remaining humans in their fight against extinction, when a young woman mysteriously appears on a secret military base setting off a chain of events that each side needs to kill the other once and for all.
Farino was excited to work with the British team Paul Tanter (writer/director) and Simon Phillips (writer/star), sharing “Paul Tanter and Simon Phillips are an incredible team and their drive, energy and belief in this project made this happen. As they are both British, like me, we spent a lot of time on set being rude to each other. It's a British thing; the cheekier you are to someone, the more it means you like them. You have to be able to give as good as you get.”
Farino has built a solid reputation for her work on screen, stage and beyond in both the U.K. and now the U.S. She has worked with stars as diverse as Sir John Gielgud and Sir Elton John, Robbie Williams, Michael Madsen, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Brian Cox OBE, to name but a few. On-screen, audiences have seen her on numerous television shows, including Veep (HBO), Jane The Virgin (The CW), The Gifted (Fox), My Haunted House (Lifetime), Days of our Lives (NBC), True Nightmares (Investigation Discovery), Crocodile Shoes with Jimmy Nail (ITV) and In Suspicious Circumstances with Edward Woodward, OBE (Granada Television). In addition to many notable film credits, including Oscar Wilde’s Lady Windermere’s Fan, The Wrong Neighbor, Court of Appeals, My Little Girl Is Gone, and Icarus, for which she won Best Actress at the River Bend Film Festival. She is also known by video gaming fans everywhere for her featured role in the BAFTA award-winning game, What Remains of Edith Finch.
On-stage, Farino has an extensive resume, playing leading roles in Les Misérables (West End, London), Calendar Girls, Laughter In The Rain, The Cherry Orchard, the world premiere of, Alfie – The Musical and the title roles in The Little Prince and Cinderella. This multi-talented artist established her own jazz band, playing numerous venues and releasing the critically successful album, Don't Talk To Me Of Love, a mixture of original songs and covers.
