Actress CLAIRE LANAY Seeks a Scoop on All-New Episode of CW’s Prime-Time Soap ‘DYNASTY’
Also Appears in Pilot of New NBC Drama Series ‘COUNCIL OF DADS’
LOS ANGELES (May 14, 2019) – As the second season finale grows near, actress Claire Lanay is seeking a scoop on an all-new episode of The CW’s prime-time soap, DYNASTY, airing May 17th. Lanay also landed a role in the pilot episode of newly announced NBC drama series, COUNCIL OF DADS.
In the DYNASTY episode “Thicker Than Money,” Fallon's (Elizabeth Gillies) pursuit of a game-changing deal for Femperial is complicated when Blake (Grant Show) asks her to mentor Adam (Sam Underwood) in all things Carrington and help him retain control of the Atlantix. Meanwhile, a rift arises between Blake and Cristal (Ana Brenda Contreras) when he asks her to choose between her family and his. Lanay steps into the story as Kathleen, an eager reporter on the hunt for a juicy story.
Lanay was excited at the opportunity to be part of the hit reboot of such an iconic show, sharing "Even though I didn't get to wrestle anybody in a fountain like Joan Collins, I still had a blast. I got to work with some terrific people and I'm glad I had enough restraint and professionalism not to run up to Grant Show and say 'hey my mom used to watch you on Melrose Place!”
Coming later this year, Lanay emerges as a nurse in the pilot episode of NBC’s newest drama series COUNCIL OF DADS, from Joan Rater and Tony Phelan, Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Universal TV. The project stars Sarah Wayne Callies, Clive Standen, Tom Everett Scott and J. August Richards and was inspired by Bruce Feiler’s best-selling memoir about the upheaval he and his family are thrown into after being diagnosed with rare, life-threatening cancer.
Born in Hawaii and raised in Eugene, Oregon, this daughter of two Vietnamese immigrants has been building a solid resume in recent years. Film fans will recognize Lanay as the hellacious party girl in Joe Carnahan’s action comedy feature, Stretch starring Patrick Wilson, Ed Helms, Chris Pine, Brooklyn Decker and Jessica Alba. On the small screen, she appeared in the Fox comedy, Ben & Kate, and Antoine Fuqua’s Fox TV pilot Exit Strategy. She also earned big laughs in comedy sketches for TBS’s late-night show Conan, and in the web-series Callbacks created by and starring Toks Olagundoye (Castle). In addition, she recurred on the daytime drama General Hospital and its SoapNet spin-off General Hospital: Night Shift. Her first major on-screen role was as the lead in the indie horror/thriller Lockout, directed by Ricardo Islas.
Claire Lanay is represented by J Pervis Talent Agency (Atlanta).
