Thermopolis to meet 'Spring City' Monday; Pitchengine's first 'Micro' Community News Stream

(Thermopolis, Wyo) — Pitchengine Communities, Wyoming's new dominate media outlet with more than 5 Million pageviews per month, unveiled their eighth Community News Stream, Spring City , today in Thermopolis. Named after the prominent Hot Springs State Park there, Spring City will kick off regular content production January 4th, 2016. In 2015, Pitchengine launched five news streams in several Wyoming communities including Cheyenne, Sheridan, Cody/Powell, Gillette and Jackson. Today, Thermopolis and Hot Springs County become the eighth location with a Pitchengine Community News Stream. https://www.instagram.com/p/--mcQOmDOi/ *Why Thermopolis?* A new media outlet in a town of about 3,000 people? It's a first for Pitchengine, but something founder and CEO, Jason Kintzler says we could see more of. "There's no disputing the power of this new model and we've always said there isn't a town, city or community that can't be connected by one of these news streams," Kintzler explained, "Spring City is the first, mostly because of the overwhelming support from the Thermopolis stakeholders." Kintzler spoke to a group of Chamber of Commerce members this past Fall and it was clear that the community was eager to have their own news stream. “I am excited to have this in our community, said Meri Ann Rush, Executive Director of the Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce. "When I was first approached to have Jason from Pitchengine come and talk about community news, I was interested, since I had been following County 10 and began to follow Basin Reboot," she said, "After the presentation, I knew we needed this for Thermopolis and Hot Springs County.” Pitchengine's COO, Fabian Lobera was a driving force behind the new venture. "We met with a group of Thermopolis businesses and they were receptive to something new and hungry for a better way to connect their message with their customers," said Lobera. "We signed up some great community supporters and thought-leaders as Community Partners even before we typed our first news story," he said. Businesses and organizations looking to advertise or publicize content on Spring City can connect with Pitchengine client services directly hello@pitchengine.com . The Spring City News Stream is available at springcity.co and on social networks, Facebook , Instagram and Twitter. As with each of their news streams, Pitchengine anticipates rapid adoption in the coming weeks. "It will be the leading news source and connection point for Thermopolis by the Summer," added Kintzler, "It's just the way the model works. I think smaller communities like this one could be an interesting new part of our growth."
