Thermopolis child granted a Make-A-Wish trip; Just back from Disney World

A Thermopolis family recently returned from Florida after six days of mostly fun in the partly cloudy and sometimes rainy skies over Disney World. The Rankin Family was granted a Make-A-Wish trip for their two-and-one-half-year-old daughter Brenna, so Dad Shane and Mom Sara and big brother Raylan all got to go. "It rained the first day we were there, but it was warm rain, not like here," said Sara about the trip. "We were there for six days, including one day at the beach." The family chose the Atlantic Ocean for a swimming trip. "Oh, we were the tourists there, everyone else had on windbreakers and there we were playing in the surf," Sara laughed. "Everyone knew we were tourists." [image: Inline image 4] The trip was Brenna's wish, and she had a great time, her mom said. "We had dinner with Cinderella, and Brenna got to spend some time with Elsa from Frozen. She was just in awe and kept looking at her. I think she was star-struck," Sara said. Little Brenna also had a chance to meet most of the Disney characters, except Chip and Dale. "She was frightened of them, but she loved Minnie Mouse, that was her favorite, and she got photos and autographs from them. "She has seen Minnie Mouse so many times on cartoons, it was was really exciting for her." "Disney took great care of us, they were very accommodating. We came home with many great memories." It was the first time anyone in the family had been to a Disney Park. "The folks in town did fund-raising to help us get to Disney World, but then Make-A-Wish stepped in and granted the wish. The money raised by the Thermopolis Community Fund for the Rankin Family will now go to other children who have a wish," Sara said. "The community has been very generous." She had a lot of fun doing that." *Feature Photo: Little Brenna had a chance to meet, talk with, and have dinner with Cinderella during her Make-A-Wish trip to Disney World in Floriday.
