(Wyoming Red Cross / Pitchengine Communities)* (Thermopolis, Wyo.) - The Wyoming Chapter of the American Red Cross is seeking volunteers in Hot Springs County, according to the state’s executive director Spencer Pollock. “Help us help you” he said in the request. “As we are gearing up for the spring/summer disaster season across Wyoming, we’re doing a push for general disaster volunteers who are interested in helping their neighbors near (and far if they’d like) in times of crisis,” said in the emailed appeal. “We are looking for 4 new volunteers,” he wrote. Examples of emergencies include single family home fires to the recent Cole Creek wildfire near Casper, flooding events and shelter events for motorists when major highways are closed. Pollock also noted that volunteers also distribute preparedness information. For more information, click here . #springcity #news
