Thermopolis Fire Department busy this last week, yesterday

(Thermopolis, Wyo.) - It was a busy week for the Thermopolis Volunteer Fire Department. Here's a report on their calls: Monday, May 9th at 10:07 p.m. - Candy Jack Park near bathrooms - Dumpster on fire Saturday, May 14th at 2:41 a.m. - Firefighters responded to a report of a pedestrian hit by a car in the 1000 block of Broadway Street. The patient was transported to the emergency room at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital by Mortimore Ambulance Service, their condition is not known at this time. Saturday, May 14th at 6:18 a.m. - Firefighters responded to the area of mile marker 135.5 on U.S. Highway 20 north of Thermopolis for a report of a single vehicle rollover. Fire crews secured the vehicle and the driver was transported to the emergency room at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital by Mortimore Ambulance Service. Sunday, May 15th at 10:22 p.m. - Firefighters responded to the area of Sessions Lane and US Hwy 20 North for a report of a large grass fire. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the fire was a large burn pile that was well contained in a dirt pit. Between the existing containment and rainfall occurring at the time it was decided that the pile could safely be left to burn throughout the night and no further action was taken. *h/t TVFD* #springcity #news
