New Summit Waldo location is officially open with expanded menu and private dining space
New website and branding launching upon re-opening
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Nov. 30, 2016) – Summit Grill, formerly named Summit Grill and Bar, officially opens its doors to the public in the former 75th Street Brewery space on Tuesday, Nov. 29. Owners and long-restauranteurs, Andy Lock and Domhnall Molloy, simply outgrew its former location.
The new location is completely renovated and is more than double the size with 8,800 square feet, compared to its former 3,300 square foot space, featuring a whole new layout and look, with all brewery equipment removed. The new Summit Waldo has a large, dedicated bar front and center with high tops, community tables and rails for up to 140 guests. The new location offers seating for 320 guests, including booths and semi-private dining with snugs. Kansas City photos such as the original trolley line, old Waldo buildings, and more are throughout the restaurant.
The former Summit Waldo will soon be Lock and Molloy’s newest concept, Bōru Ramen Bar, expected to open January 2017.
Summit Waldo’s menu also expanded to include the items below from the Summit Lee’s Summit’s menu.
• Kansas City Strip – potato croquettes, sautéed asparagus, garlic butter

• Stuffed Shrimp & Cheesy Grit Cake – bacon wrapped, green chilis, spicy barbeque sauce
