Detroit, MI – More than 35 restaurants and bars are coming together for the fourth annual Dine Drink Detroit, a near three-week culinary event showcasing one of the country's fasting growing food cultures, with participating restaurants featuring signature food & drink combinations starting at just $15. The event will run from October 4 – 20, 2016 and reservations are not required.
This year’s participating establishments include: Batch Brewing Company, Bobcat Bonnie’s, Colors Detroit, Cutter’s Bar & Grill, Downtown Louie’s Lounge, Firebird Tavern, Gold Cash Gold, Green Dot Stables, Harry’s Detroit, Huron Room, Johnny Noodle King, Jolly Pumpkin, Katoi, La Feria, Mercury Burger & Bar, Mudgie’s Deli, Ottava Via, Parks & Rec Diner, PJ’s Lager House, Republic Tavern, Rusted Crow Detroit, Slows, St. Cece’s Pub, Starter’s Bar & Grill, The Block Detroit, The Rattlesnake Club, Tijuana’s Authentic Mexican Kitchen, Townhouse Detroit, and Traffic Jam & Snug.
"The Detroit food scene has exploded, creating so many opportunities for talented chefs and even more opportunity for people to enjoy the emerging food culture downtown,” said Scott Rutterbush, creator of Dine Drink Detroit. “We’ve found people really embrace this event and, as a result, we’ve added an extra week and nearly doubled the number of participating restaurants offer even more options."
Dine Drink Detroit will kick off with a launch party at West Riverfront Park on the Detroit Riverfront, located at 1801 W. Jefferson, on October 3rd from 5pm – 11pm. Tickets, which start at $15, are available online at www.dinedrinkdetroit.com or at the door, and include food by El Guapo, Drunken Rooster, and Big Boy food trucks, drinks by participating restaurants, music by DJ Godfather, DJ Chrome, DJ Freddy, DJ Vin Amori, Khary Frazier (Detroit is Different), Dante LaSalle and many more. A Slow Roll will depart from the West Riverfront Park at 7pm. New this year will be a vendor market, presented by All Things Detroit, with more than 30 small businesses and vendors.
Proceeds from this year’s Dine Drink Detroit will be donated to the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, an organization that offers improved access to the riverfront, spearheads economic development, and provides valuable green space to residents and visitors. Diners can also make a $1 donation, directly benefitting the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, at each participating restaurant.
