Brews + Bands + Bikes = A+ Weekend
LANDER, WY—Cyclists love their post-ride brews. Beer aficionados love sampling a local brew. Travelers love a home-grown event, and locals like to show off the best of their communities. So what’s not to love about a weekend featuring a road cycling tour of Fremont County/Wind River Country and a music-filled brew festival?
2017 will mark the 15th year of the Lander Brewfest, kicking off on Friday, June 9 at 5 p.m. with a family-friendly atmosphere including trivia and a live band, and the fun will continue until the sun goes down Saturday, June 10. Located between 7th and 8th on Jefferson St.
On Saturday, return to Lander's North Side Park to enjoy a hearty breakfast with fellow cyclists of all ages and ability. Push off for a cruise through town, a century ride around the county, or just about anything in between on one of the Fremont Area Road Tour supported routes.
If bikes aren’t your thing, join the brewers for a round of golf at 9 a.m. at the Lander Golf Course, 1 mile south of Lander on Hwy. 287.
By the time the ride (or putts) and sunshine have you hungry for a brew, meal, and grassy seat, the park will have transitioned from road tour staging area to brew-festivities. The more than 20 breweries will be back to pouring their over 80 beers with a smile, and the music will get going shortly thereafter. You’ll be glad you put in some morning miles, because the lineup of food vendors will have your mouth watering.
Bikes, bands, brews, burgers and beyond beckon. Purchase your Fremont Area Road Tour and Lander Brewfest tickets online now.
