Rising Actress VIVIAN KERR Interviews Big Names in New Podcast ‘CONVERSATIONS WITH ACTORS’
LOS ANGELES (November 29, 2017) – Ambitious young actress VIVIAN KERR has not only appeared in many successful television series such as CRIMINAL MINDS, RIZZOLI & ISLES, and SUPERSTORE, but is now taking on a new role as host and interviewer for the upcoming podcast, ‘CONVERSATIONS WITH ACTORS’ launching Monday, December 11th, 2017 on iTunes.
CONVERSATIONS WITH ACTORS is a 10-part podcast in which successful working actors discuss the craft of acting. Unlike many entertainment podcasts, CONVERSATIONS WITH ACTORS aims to provide an intimate, informal space where some of the most respected actors working in television and film today speak freely on their art form, discussing everything from methods of working with famous directors to lessons learned after decades of acting.
Episode 1 features Robin Weigart. Known for her breakout role as Calamity Jane on DEADWOOD, as well as appearances on SONS OF ANARCHY and the recent hit BIG LITTLE LIES, Kerr sits down with Weigart to discuss getting into Jane’s physicality and her experience acting opposite Nicole Kidman. Other actors interviewed in Season 1 include Patrick Fischler (ONCE UPON A TIME, MAD MEN), William Sadler (THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, THE GREEN MILE), and Elizabeth Ho (DISJOINTED, TWO AND A HALF MEN).
Kerr is excited to be interviewing these luminous actors, "I have been so inspired by speaking to actors of all backgrounds, ages, and experiences, many of whom I have looked up to for years. With Robin, for example, I remember watching her on DEADWOOD when I was in college. Her performance in that show made me want to work in cable drama, and made me want to be a better actor, so it was incredible to sit down with her and discuss how she works.”
In addition to interviewing actors for the podcast, Kerr has been working steadily in Hollywood in her own right, and has built a solid resume of diverse, nuanced work. Since 2012, she has appeared in no fewer than 10 primetime episodes of television, in roles ranging from a demented serial killer in CASTLE, to one of Nick’s one night stands in NEW GIRL, to a 1950’s housewife in MASTERS OF SEX. She has also appeared in numerous memorable sketches on THE TONIGHT SHOW and JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE.
Kerr is also a writer and producer, who wrote and starred as Charlotte Bronte in period drama LINES, which world-premiered at Hollyshorts Film Festival, and also wrote and starred in the hit web series WE ARE WITH THE BAND, which ran for 8-episodes.
Born in Sacramento, she moved to Los Angeles to study theatre at the University of Southern California. After graduating, she earned a nomination for an Ovation Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play, as well as nominations for LA Weekly and Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards for her work as Mary Warren in Arthur Miller’s THE CRUCIBLE.
Vivian Kerr is represented by Chris Lee at East/West Artists (manager).
